Crown Paints £100 Facebook Prize Scooped

Crown Paints £100 Facebook Prize Scooped! A decorator from Yorkshire has scooped a £100 prize after sharing photographs of his work on Facebook.

David Wright, from Menston, West Yorkshire, won the prize after he posted photographs of an interior overhaul at a Grade II listed cottage in Burley-in-Wharfedale.

Crown Paints £100 Facebook Prize Scooped!Mr Wright used Crown Trade Matt Vinyl throughout, with Old English White on the ceiling and above the picture rail, Tapestry Thread on the cornice and Smock as the main wall colour with Old English White in Crown Trade Eggshell on the woodwork.

Mr Wright said: “I’m ecstatic – I’m very pleased that the job has been selected as the winner.

“As the project was for a Grade II listed building we selected everything from the Crown Trade Historic Colours range, which was perfect for the job.”

Mr Wright, who has been a painter and decorator since leaving school in 1986 and launched his own company, David Wright Decorators in 1989, worked on the project with his colleague of 10 years, John Bailey. Lindsay Hall, Crown Trade Product Manager, said: “We were really impressed with David’s project. “The use of our Crown Trade Historic Colours range in a Grade II listed cottage seemed entirely appropriate and the pictures displayed the beautiful finish David and John had achieved.
