National P&D Show was a winner for Axus
National Painting and Decorating Show 2019 review
At this year’s National Painting & Decorating Show, the Axus Décor offering was diverse and large. They released three new products, some new sizes (based on previous feedback from Decorators), held live Filler and OLFA demonstrations and hosted their biggest giveaway yet.
Speaking as the show closed Minul Shah for Axus said, “This year’s P&D Show was one of the best yet! It felt great to connect with so many decorators and apprentices across the two days. Their feedback has shaped the products that we make and has continuously helped us to make a decorators life easier. This includes our flex-e-fill and new lime series rollers which received positive reviews at the show. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!”
The company’s giveaway proved very popular with queues forming around their stand as visitors stood eagerly awaiting their turn to grab an egg from their giant Flex-E-Fill tub. Each egg contained the name of one of six prizes including a bag of Q3 Filler, a tub of Flex-E-Fill, a grey series S-Edge Scraper, a Flex-E-Bowl, a mink series Silk Touch 2″ Brush and an OLFA L7-AL Blue Cutter. Participants were also offered the chance to enter an additional contest where they could win £250 worth of Axus goodies by posting an image of themselves using an Axus Décor product.
Products launched at the Show included the Wallpaper Press, Eddy Paint Mixer and the lime series Wood Finishing mini rollers. Both the Wallpaper Press and Eddy Paint Mixer are part of their onyx series.
The Wallpaper Press is a 3-in-1 corner & seam presser with ergonomic benefits that include textured thumb/index finger rests and an elastomeric grip that prevents slipping and minimises hand strain.
The Eddy Paint Mixer allows paint to be mixed evenly and very quickly. The hexagon shaped holes are positioned in order to create a turbulent flow. The shaped end is optimised to mix paint at the edges of a cylindrical paint container and it’s strong construction means that it doesn’t bow, even in viscous paint. It also has a convenient hanging hole and a paint can hook.
The hard wearing lime series Wood Finishing mini rollers are shed resistant and in ests show the percentage of fibres lost during application to be, says Axus, almost zero.
Their stand also featured live Filler and OLFA demonstrations. Visitors were given the chance to try out the Fillers & Smoothers for themselves on a variety of surfaces/cracks. This included one of their most popular products, the Flex-E-Fill; a pre-mixed, fast drying, solvent free filler. They were also able to see the benefits of some of the top OLFA cutters, scrapers and blades. This included the X-Design Heavy Duty Scraper; a premium scraper with a steel hammerable end for those tough removal tasks and an ergonomic rubber wrap-around grip that reduces hand fatigue. This was paired with the BSF Flexible blade. This blade minimises damage to the substrate underneath and provide enhanced leverage resulting in rapid removal.
