P&D Show 2020 – Bigger is better!
As the National Painting and Decorating Show (Ricoh Arena, Coventry, 24th and 25th November) builds towards yet another record-breaking two days, we spoke to the organisers about why it’s such an important event in the decorating professional’s calendar.
Bigger is better!
“Although the show celebrates its 26th anniversary this year it never stands still – much like the trade itself”, says Terry Dullaway, from PDS Promotions Ltd. “We recognize that if you are taking time out to visit, it must be really beneficial in terms of learning about new products and techniques – and bagging those great deals that are on offer each year.
“As the trade’s national forum, size and profile is important – it really is a case that bigger is better for visitors and exhibitors. More exhibitors (we’ll have over 100) attracts more visitors. It’s a formula that only works if the event is easy to get to and centrally-located – that’s why a Midlands location has proven to be perfect” says Dullaway .
The list of exhibitors this year is a Who’s Who of manufacturers and suppliers – from the biggest like Dulux, Crown and Brewers to small, innovative startups aiming to make their mark at the show for the first time. As always, overseas companies aiming at the UK market will be represented.
Training and Knowledge
Informative and easily accessible, the popular Masterclass programme will showcase demonstrations of new and existing products by experts, for experts.
This year, a new and exciting feature will consist of independent speakers highlighting ways in which decorators can add value to their business through ‘up skilling’ into allied trades. Full details will be announced soon.
The SprayBase area – hosted by a professional painter and decorator – is also certain to be a big draw for visitors.
