Steve Brushes up for Marathon
Steve Edwards, managing director of professional decorating sundries company, Hamilton, will be running the London Marathon on April 24th, 2016 to help raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
If that were not enough, to help him prepare for the big day, on April 8th Steve is running another full marathon at Sainsbury’s in Atlleborough, also home to Hamilton’s HQ, supported by willing collegaues who will be running, walking – and even crawling – one mile at a time to keep him company.
Steve said, ’This is a brilliant opportunity to help raise precious funds for such an important cause that helps to improve the lives of many people including not only patients but also their families and carers.’
Michele Henderson, regional fundraiser at Parkinson’s UK said, ’I would like to say a huge thank you to Steve, staff at Hamilton as well as famly and friends who have committed to being inolved in this fantastic event to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s UK. It is great to see the enthusiasm and team spirit of all who are joining together to complete this challenge and we are really grateful to all who are walking or running. We rely so heavily on events like this to fund our vital support services and research projects and I hope it will feel good to know that each step on the treadmill will be helping to make a difference to the life of someone affected by Parkinson’s.’
