C-FIX REPAIR is the first product of its kind and is the brainchild of hands-on decorator, Mark Stevens, who, after many years, was frustrated with a lack of solution to ceiling problems that he would encounter daily.
Crucially the repair kit requires no access to the ceiling space, its design allows it to be manoeuvred through the cut out and fitted inside the ceiling leaving it invisible from below. Until now the only solution for downlighter cut out ceiling repair was to replace sections of ceiling or in some cases to replace the entire ceiling. It is suitable for plasterboard ceilings up to 15mm thick and comes in a range of standard sizes.
Made from fire resistant (euro class B) MDF with a galvanised steel band liner and fixed with screws and structural filler, the repair kit allows not only the repair but also the repositioning and resizeing of downlighter cut outs. This gives allowing the option of exchanging larger out dated fittings for new smaller modern fittings as well as reinforcing them to prevent further damage.
Available in sizes: 60mm, 65mm, 70mm, 75mm, 80mm, 85mm, 90mm
C-fix Liners are a secondary product designed to reinforce existing or new undamaged downlighter cut outs in plasterboard ceilings. The steel liners require no access to the ceiling space, its patented design allows it to be retro fitted through the cut out to protect the topside of the ceiling (most damage is caused by removing down lighters for maintenance and redecorating; the large springs used to hold the fitting close to the ceiling remove chunks of delicate plasterboard every time they are pulled downwards to release the light). The Liners are not visible from below and do not protrude through the cut out, therefore allowing the flush fitting of any standard downlighter. They are available in a range of sizes that coordinate with standard downlight fittings.
