Mountain of Prizes winner revealed
Professional painter and decorator Tom Lock has been announced as the winner of this year’s Mountain of Prizes competition at the National Painting & Decorating Show — one of the UK’s leading events for painters, decorators, and industry suppliers.
Tom said: “Thank you ever so much, you’ve given me the best news I’ve received in ages!”
As the show evolves under the Nineteen Group umbrella, the event is set to offer even more value, innovation and community for trade professionals — while continuing to celebrate the skill and dedication of decorators like Tom.
This year’s show marked an important milestone following its recent acquisition by Nineteen Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing event organisers. As part of this transition, the National Painting & Decorating Show will be incorporated into InstallerSHOW from 2026, expanding the opportunities available to exhibitors and visitors by bringing the decorating sector into a broader, multi-trade event environment.
The Mountain of Prizes competition was open to all visitors who attended the show, with every attendee automatically entered into the prize draw. The competition is well-known for its huge haul of top-quality decorating tools, materials and equipment — and this year was no exception. From thousands of entries, Tom’s name was selected as the winner, earning him an impressive collection of products designed to support his ongoing commitment to craftsmanship and excellence.
