HMG moves into decorative coatings
The UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer HMG Paints has introduced a specialist range of decorative coatings, including a new Colour Collection.
The new “Essentials” durable water-based coatings have been developed over a number of years and have undergone extensive trials and testing say HMG.
Included in the extensive walls and ceilings coatings range are a Vinyl Matt and Silk Emulsion, a Vinyl Matt Emulsion and a Vinyl Silk Emulsion.
For new work the company has developed Trade Emulsion, a decorative matt emulsion, that has good opacity which improves as the paint dries. Excellent results can be achieved with a single coat its claimed. Designed for application on interior plaster, walls and ceilings.
Acrylic Eggshell offers a mid-sheen finish that provides a durable, washable finish, resistant to condensation and is suitable for most surfaces including walls and interior woodwork.
The range also features decorative and protective finishes for interior and exterior woodwork, available in both a Gloss Finish or Satin Finish.
Paint for priming and preparation include Softwood Primer a bleed resistant primer that prevents rusty screw heads from showing through. It can be used internally and externally on new or bare softwood surfaces, including plywood, chipboard and flakeboard.
A dual acting Acrylic primer and undercoat suitable for interior wood, hardboard and plaster and PVC17, suitable for the respraying of UPVC windows, doors and conservatories, have also been launched.
