JOHNSTONE’S AWARDS GATHERS PACE

PPG has announced the shortlist for this year’s Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Awards and with 32 finalists being recognised across six categories.

The awards ceremony for this, the 40th edition of the scheme will be held Leeds, on Saturday 1 June 2024 at the Queen’s Hotel – a landmark location at the heart of the city.  

In its biggest celebration to date, the event will see the six category winners announced on the night. Each of these projects will then go head-to-head to see who is crowned ‘The Supreme Winner’ – with the winner voted for by attendees at the ceremony.  

Hundreds of entries were submitted by painters and decorators across the UK, ranging from impressive home and hotel renovations to educational and external settings. Each project has been assessed by PPG’s team of technical and colour experts and judged based on the quality of the decorative finish, the intricacy of the work involved, and the technical and logistical challenges presented by the project.
