PDA membership benefits
The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) is undertaking a concerted membership drive.
Professional painters and decorators looking to promote themselves in the best light are being urged to consider joining the industry body.
Those signing up for the will receive a free folder, packed with information and benefits tailor made for contractors in the industry.
This includes access to business insurance, income protection and medical care, as well as dental and personal accident services.
The package is just a part of the benefits of membership.
Recently the PDA launched a new website at www.paintingdecoratingassociation.co.uk which offers a host of features to help people find skilled traders who adhere to the highest standards.
The PDA designed the website to be more than a review-only site. As well as offering an intuitive member search facility, the website enables users to request a quote and log feedback.
Neil Ogilvie, chief executive of the PDA, said: “The website offers a great opportunity for our members to showcase themselves, their talent, experience and skill.
“It gives painters and decorators a presence under the banner of Britain’s largest trade body for the industry and allows them to combine customer reviews with information about the benefits of employing a PDA member.
“There’ll also be a whole range of features for members including our industry-leading e-learning training package, a forum and even an online shop – so all their needs can be met in one place.
“Customers visiting the new website will be able to request a quote from members as well as having the chance to leave feedback – combining the popularity of review-only sites with the assurance the organisation’s Code of Conduct and wider services such as its arbitration facility“.
