Will Hargreaves, a decorating apprentice working in Greater Manchester, has shared his advice for fellow apprentices.
In a post on his Instagram and TikTok accounts @decorwithwill, the first tip is:
TIP ONE: Don’t be afraid to ask questions about anything, no matter what it is, ask if you are not sure, it will only help you further to be being more confident in your work.
The second tip is about self belief, stating:
TIP TWO: Trust in yourself. It was hard for me at first to trust my own work, but you will make mistakes, it’s as simple as that, but the more you do the better you get.
The third piece of advice focuses on college:
TIP THREE: Keep up with work at college, try your hardest and show your teachers you are ready. You may be brilliant on the job but keeping up with theory/portfolio work especially, it will only fast track you to your exam test.
