The Paint Shed expands
Independent paint retailer, The Paint Shed has opened its newest store in Loanhead, near Edinburgh.
The Paint Shed, which is headquartered in Stirling, sells a wide range of trade paints, designer paints and accessories to both independent painters and decorators and retail consumers via its website and through its network of stores across Scotland and the North of England. The Loanhead store is the company’s 19th store.
Michael Rolland, Managing Director of The Paint Shed, commented on the expansion into Loanhead: “The Paint Shed has had three stores in central Edinburgh for more than 20 years. As the city has grown, our customers have also expanded to locations out with the city centre. We opened our Musselburgh store in 2018 to help customers who were travelling into the city from the east coast and we have replicated this strategy in Bilston Glen, Straiton where many of our customers travel from Gorebridge, Bonnyrigg, Penicuik and the Scottish borders.
“This new store will also expand our warehouse and distribution capabilities for all of our Edinburgh stores, and is within 20 minutes travelling time of our other 4 stores in the region.”
The Loanhead store has had mixing machines installed from the main paint manufacturers, including Dulux, Johnstone’s, Crown, Zinsser Allcoat and Farrow & Ball.
The Paint Shed Loanhead is open at Unit 1 Dryden Loan, Bilston Glen Industrial Estate, Loanhead EH20 9HR
