UKs Most Trusted Decorator Named
Robbie Dodds, of Dodds R Decorators, is celebrating after being selected as the UK’s most trusted decorator. Robbie was presented with the accolade by paint manufacturer, Dulux Trade, at a prestigious awards ceremony at The Belfry Hotel, following its campaign to find the most dependable decorator in the UK.
The Most Trusted Decorator competition was launched by Dulux Trade in March this year in order to recognise and celebrate the many painters and decorators in the UK that go the extra mile to earn their customers’ trust. Following an overwhelming response to the competition from homeowners, with over 1,000 nominations received across the UK, an independent judging panel selected 10 regional winners to go through to the final stage of the competition.
Robbie was chosen as the regional winner for the North East after customers praised his reliability, precision and cheerful character.
The national judging day took place at The Belfry Hotel, in the West Midlands, on Sunday 19th August. A panel of top industry experts, including TV personality, Dominic Littlewood, and Roman Russocki, the Chief Executive of TrustMark, put the finalists through their paces, before deliberating on who should walk away with the title of the UK’s most trusted decorator. Robbie was announced as the overall winner at an evening reception and award ceremony at the hotel.
Robbie said: “I was over the moon when I was selected as the regional winner of the competition, and to win the overall prize is just overwhelming. It’s very important to me that that my customers are happy with my work, so to win a competition that is based on their feedback is a real honour. It’s very satisfying to know that my customers value the work I do for them, and I’m extremely grateful to everyone that nominated me.”
Robbie, who has already received free membership of the Dulux Select Decorator scheme for one year, as a regional winner, was rewarded with a prize of free fuel for a year in recognition of his achievement.
