Ladder manufacturer WernerCo says fibreglass ladders offer a number of benefits and not just for the electrical trades.
Traditionally, fibreglass ladders have been seen as a solution for working around electricity, with the non-conductive stiles preventing against electrical shocks. However, it is important says WernerCo that tradesmen do not discount the value the fibreglass ladders can offer for other non-electrical work.
Fibreglass is extremely resistant to weathering and does not absorb moisture, making it ideal when working in wet or damp environments, minimising the risk of long-term damage and making them highly suitable for a wide variety of jobs.

Some of the leading models on the market feature rails made using a proprietary pultrusion process, which creates a seven-layer construction, resulting in a strong and uniform product. Additionally, any fibreglass ladder purchased should be approved to the latest EN131 standard to certify its use for professional work.
