Crown Paints cements partnership with Show Business Interiors

Crown Paints has established an ongoing partnership with Show Business Interiors (SBI) to provide on-trend colour support for new build developments across the country including major housebuilders Bellway, Ashberry Homes and Taylor Wimpey.

Crown provided colour and specification support through the supply of Pure Paint samples, colour cards and fandecks, enabling SBI Interiors to create bespoke palettes tailored to each development. This collaborative approach combines Crown’s technical expertise and extensive colour range with SBI’s design vision and understanding of buyer preferences.

The collaboration has delivered palettes that reflect current design trends – from calming, nature-inspired tones to bold colour-blocking and immersive colour-drenching techniques.

Each scheme has been tailored to create homes that resonate with modern buyers while providing versatile spaces that new homeowners can make their own.

The Hedingham at Hare’s Leap, a Bellway development in North London, SBI utilised Crown’s specification to develop a serene, earthy palette. Its nature-inspired tones create a calming environment. While soft neutrals in the feature panelling offer the perfect canvas for homeowners to layer their own personality.

The master bedroom uses Hague Blue, wrapping the entire space to create a restful sanctuary. Layered with light wooden furniture and panelling to the ceiling, the midnight blue brings depth and tranquillity – demonstrating how calming palettes can be elevated through deeper hues.

The Tetford, a Taylor Wimpey development at Burley Fields in the West Midlands, the collaboration embraced a vibrant, maximalist aesthetic using colour blocking. With pinks such as Crown’s Bubble Tea creating striking impact against cream panelling. This bold palette brings warmth and visual richness while naturally defining the living area as a dedicated space to relax.

The Lacemaker at Vita at Holbrook Park, a Bellway development in Chellaston, Derbyshire, showcases the increasingly popular colour-drenching technique. Crown’s Cherrywood envelops the master bedroom across walls, ceiling, skirting and stairs, creating an immersive atmosphere.

Paired harmoniously with brass accents, this approach adds warmth and character to the rooms. By carrying the shade across the entire space, the technique brings continuity whilst making the room feel larger.

The Evelyn, a 3-bedroom semi-detached house type offered by Ashberry Homes at Brierley View in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, demonstrates confident, design-led colour use. The scheme features Crown’s Yarn creating an energising yellow paint band against soft airy blue to walls and skirting.

The yellow acts as a creative focal point, infusing the room with personality, while the blue provides balance and lightness. The pairing is complimented by cobalt blue upholstery, demonstrating how paint colour works harmoniously with soft furnishings to create a complete interior vision.

Sian Jenkins, Creative Director at Show Business Interiors (SBI) said: “Our partnership with Crown Paints is fundamental to delivering high-quality, trend-forward interiors that not only fulfil our clients’ briefs but set our clients’ developments apart, ensuring each design resonates with the prospective buyers and drives sales. Their colour expertise allows us to be genuinely creative – whether working with calming neutrals or pushing boundaries with bold contrasts. The quality of the products provide a high-quality finish and the application consistently exceed expectations, particularly when executing complex designs.”

Richard Bailey, Architectural and Design Consultant at Crown Paints, said: “We’ve built a great working relationship with the team at SBI, and it’s been rewarding to support them as their projects have evolved. I often visit their studio to deliver lunch and learn sessions which provide insights and knowledge that can help them when specifying colours in future projects.

“Our colour team is always on hand to provide technical support and guidance – whether that’s helping to refine a palette, advising on finishes for specific applications, or simply being a sounding board for creative ideas. It’s this ongoing dialogue that makes the partnership work so well. SBI bring incredible design vision and understanding of their clients’ needs, and we’re able to support that with our product knowledge and colour expertise. Seeing these schemes come to life across multiple developments is what makes this collaboration so valuable.”

Throughout the homes, Crown Trade Clean Extreme was used to ensure the finished was durable and easily wipes of stains, while Crown Trade Fast Flow Satin was offered the perfect finish whilst being 99% solvent free.

The collaboration reflects Crown Paints’ commitment to supporting the housebuilding sector with both technical expertise and trend-forward colour consultancy, helping developers create homes that stand out while genuinely meeting buyers’ evolving needs.
