PDA Gears Up For Awards Anniversary

The Painting and Decorating Association’s Premier Trophy Awards celebrates its 30th anniversary this summer in London’s Plaisterers’ Hall on 5 July.

This year the awards will increase from five categories to seven to better represent the diversity of the industry, with awards for residential and new build joining the original list of decorative, highly decorative, industrial, small contractor and commercial.

Crown Paints is the main sponsor for 2018.

Neil Ogilvie, chief executive of the Painting and Decorating Association, said: “The Premier Trophy Awards celebrates the work and achievements of firms and individuals nationally.

“An awful lot of work takes place behind the scenes to make this event a success.

“There were over 70 entries for this year’s competition, which were shortlisted down to 49 for site visits, judging and assessment.

“Once the shortlist was drawn up, the panel of independent judges visited each project to see the actual work and make their assessments.

“This rigorous process, which we have followed for decades throughout the history of the Premier Trophy Awards, requires a lot of planning, effort and expense.

“We are deeply grateful to Crown Paints for their support as main sponsor this year, which enables us to carry out this extensive level of detail.”

Philip Cefai, Crown Paints’ commercial director, is guest speaker at the ceremony.

The event starts at 12 noon on 5 July. To order tickets please email Yvonne@paintingdecoratingassociation.co.uk or call 024 7635 3776
