Entries are still open for Purdy’s Portland competition. To celebrate its 100-year anniversary, Purdy is offering a lucky winner a trip for two to Portland in Oregon, including a luxury seven-night stay and a tour of the Purdy factory. During the tour, not only will the winner be able to meet the Purdy brushmakers, but they will also be able to make their very own personalised brush.
Since day one, when S. Desmond Purdy handcrafted the first Purdy brush in his Portland garage, Purdy has built a reputation for delivering the highest quality brushes and tools to painters and decorators. After 100 years of dedicated design, testing and crafting to deliver top of the range tools to professionals, Purdy is honouring its legacy and offering a lucky winner the chance to visit its factory.
As well as a tour of the factory, the prize includes a seven-night stay with bed and breakfast for two at the 5* Ritz Carlton Hotel from the 26th October 2025 until the 2nd November 2025. The prize also includes flights and transfers from a UK or Irish airport to your hotel, ensuring a hassle-free trip. Throughout the trip, the winner will have plenty of time to explore everything that Portland has to offer, from enjoying the city’s vibrant local cuisine, to exploring its beautiful parks and music scene.

In addition to the grand prize, from March to July 2025, Purdy is gifting a loaded Purdy backpack to one entrant each month.

Competition is open to over 18’s only, legal residents of the UK and/or Ireland, currently working (either via employment, self-employment or apprenticeship) as a painter or decorator in the UK or Ireland.
