Dulux have developed a new Lighting Tool that helps professional decorators and their customers visualise how Dulux Heritage colours will look at every time of the day.
The Dulux Heritage lighting tool allows users to see how any of the Dulux Heritage shades will look under various lighting conditions, from natural daylight to artificial lighting, different room orientations, and times of day.
Dawn Scott, Senior Colour Designer at AkzoNobel, commented: “Colour doesn’t exist in isolation, it constantly shifts depending on the light around it. Until now, demonstrating this to clients has been a challenge for decorators, elongating the colour selection process and adding an element of risk that the client won’t like the final result under certain lighting conditions. This tool is a game changer for professionals as it makes it easy for them to demonstrate more accurately how a colour will appear in a space. Dulux Heritage shades are carefully crafted with exceptional depth and richness, responding uniquely to different lighting conditions.
“Take Dulux Heritage Sky Blue as an example. In natural daylight, it appears as its truest shade while under artificial lighting – especially warm-toned light – it takes on a noticeably greener hue. That’s because cool light mutes its warm undertones, while warm light enhances them.”
