Royal Warrant for Crown

Crown Paints has been granted a Royal Warrant from His Majesty The King as part of the Royal Household’s latest round of awards.

The status recognises businesses upholding exceptional standards of service, quality, excellence and craftsmanship.

Crown was previously one of the longest standing holders of a Royal Warrant, having been awarded its first 75 years ago. The business was originally awarded the Royal Warrant by King George VI in 1949 and saw it renewed by the Queen in 1955.

It held the status until 2022 when King Charles III assumed the throne and the previous warrants, held under Queen Elizabeth II, expired.

Crown successfully demonstrated its commitment to sustainability, which aligned with The King’s and the Royal Warrant Holders Association’s own ambitions, as part of its 2024 application. Earlier this year the business was recognised by the British Coatings Federation – winning its Race to Net Zero Award – and was named Marie Claire’s Eco-Friendly Decorating Brand of the Year.

It also now uses 100% renewable energy and launched its Project Possible roadmap outlining its net zero and zero waste to landfill ambitions.
