Seddon on a roll in The Midlands

One of the UK’s largest privately owned contractors and house builders, Seddon, is celebrating a run of painting contract wins in the Midlands worth £170,000, including a large-scale refurbishment at the University of Worcester.

The company currently has seven projects on site, with 11 more due to start in the coming weeks across the region in multiple sectors including education, industrial commercial and heritage buildings.

One of the largest projects that Seddon’s painting division will be working on in the coming months is at the University of Worcester repainting student accommodation, including a significant number of the university’s 1,100 bedrooms, communal corridors, staircases and kitchens.

Seddon estimates that approximately 5,000 litres of paint will be required to complete all 18 jobs, with a total workforce of more than 25 painters involved.

Paul Allcote, contracts manager for painting at Seddon West Midlands, said: “It’s a very successful time for the painting division and we’re pleased to see such a healthy pipeline of work across multiple sectors in different parts of the region.
