The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) is setting out how it helps members save money.
The Association has outlined six savings available to members, from discounted entertainment to legal support and advice.
The PDA is the UK’s largest trade association for the painting and decorating trade, representing members across the spectrum from sole traders to large national contractors.
A number of partners work with the PDA, including manufacturers, industry bodies and related services, to promote the trade and provide a range of free benefits and exclusive discounts for members.
Fuel
Fuel is an on-going cost for the majority of PDA members who need to transport themselves, their equipment and sometimes their employees to each job. PDA members can sign up for a free Wex fuel card to help offset fuel costs every time they fill up.
Business support and legal assistance
PDA members have free access to the Markel Law Hub, an online resource of expert legal and business guides, templates and content provided by Markel Law LLP.
Members also have free access to legal, tax and stress counselling telephone advice services through the Markel advice line and are covered by the PDA’s Commercial Legal Expenses policy with Markel Law.
Dispute resolution
Members and their customers can access PDA’s impartial mediation, conciliation and arbitration service, providing a route to resolution if a dispute arises.
Memberships
PDA members can access discounts on membership of organisations such as CHAS and will receive regular updates from organisations such as BUILD UK and UNIEP.
Materials
PDA members can sign up for a free Trade Point card, giving them a 10% discount at Trade Point/B&Q, which regularly applies to in-store offers, giving PDA members a double discount at the till.
Leisure time
Time away from work is important, so to help PDA members – and their employees – make the most of evenings and weekends with family and friends, the Association has partnered with Take Time to offer members a range of discounts and offers on dining, travel, accommodation and entertainment.
Trained, experienced and insured painters and decorators can join the PDA from just £180+ VAT for the whole year.
