DULUX ACADEMY “REAL LIFE” TRAINING OPENS
The Dulux Academy has extended its exterior training offering with a new facility at its flagship site in Slough. The Mews is an outdoor training space that simulates the real-life conditions that decorators will experience on the job, better preparing them for exterior work.
The Mews will be used for a range of exterior painting courses that are all run by the Dulux Academy’s expert trainers, including the new Stage 3 uPVC Spray course. Run by Associate Trainer James Wildish, who specialises in uPVC spraying, Stage 3 uPVC Spray is a two-day course that helps decorators unlock new opportunities for their business by learning expert techniques, safety tips and how to achieve a flawless and lasting finish.
Vickie Mather, Dulux Academy Lead, said: “The Mews is an exciting new offering from Dulux Academy that will provide tradespeople with a chance to put their newfound skills to the test under realistic conditions. We have named it The Mews – which stands for Modern Exteriors With Spray – to reflect the row of small houses that make up the facility. The Mews includes a garden area with cladding, fences, walls and upcycled furniture that will be used for exterior training.”
