Virtual learning at Dulux Decorator Centres

Dulux Decorator Centre is introducing free in-store virtual learning featuring Dulux Academy training modules in nine of its stores, with the launch of Dulux Academy Virtual. The programme expands on the merchant’s existing partnership with the Dulux Academy – which has face to face training facilities at five Dulux Decorator Centre stores – making industry-leading training more accessible to customers across the country.

Dulux Academy Virtual provides access to virtual training solutions in-store via the Dulux Academy Hub. The programme will provide pre-recorded content, as well as access to live streaming sessions and a chance for customers to try the products to support their learning. There will also be the opportunity for participants to test products themselves as part of the learning process, and Dulux Decorator Centre colleagues will also be on hand to answer any questions.

An example of some of the content available

  • Water Borne Application – a demonstration on how to best use water-based paints
  • What’s the difference between Trade & Retail? – an exploration of the two different sectors
  • Colour Theory & Scheming – an introduction to basic colour knowledge for design and decorating
  • Spray Tips Explained – an introduction or refresh on using this application method
  • Dulux Heritage – a look at this premium paint range and its benefits
  • Spray HVLP vs Airless – an insight into the difference between the two application methods

These facilities are available at the following stores:

  • Edinburgh
  • Belfast North
  • Leeds
  • Derby
  • Birmingham
  • Peterborough
  • Welwyn Garden City
  • Abingdon

Decorators interested in attending a virtual Dulux Academy session can go into one of the selected stores to arrange a time convenient to them with a team member and pay on the spot. Dulux Decorator Centre members can also pay using their account. If Dulux Decorator Centre customers are looking to book a face-to-face course, they can now do this online or via their local store.
