Trade Training Survey by Painting and Decorating Association
A new Trade Training Survey by the Painting and Decorating Association.
The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) is seeking the views of decorating professionals to help shape the content of a large-scale training initiative – designed to support their business and help address a future skills shortage.
Following a successful bid to secure significant funding from the CITB Construction Skills Growth Fund, the national trade body is now able to embark on a whole sector training and development programme for the trade.
To ensure the best use of the funding, the Painting and Decorating Association is now conducting a comprehensive research project – the largest of its type since 1997- to find out from decorating professionals exactly what sort of training should be provided under the programme, to help them sustain and develop their businesses.
Once compiled, the results will be used to develop a national Training Plan, tailored to the exact needs of the industry.
