Advanced solutions and sustainable packaging from FrogTape
Shurtape is focusing on FrogTape at this year’s Painting and Decorating Show with a series of professional demonstrations, new products and sustainable packaging.
“The show is a firm favourite on the FrogTape calendar as it gives us a chance to speak with the professionals that inspire our products,” says Shurtape MD Jason Burns.
FrogTape retains its number one position with professional painters thanks to close relationships the Shurtape team has with a raft of painters and decorators, meaning the products in the range are specifically created to answer customer requirements.
FrogTape Advanced is one example. The product was launched following extensive research and development by Shurtape, and created in direct response to the most common decorating frustrations. With the same PaintBlock Technology used in other popular FrogTape products, this new tape has been specifically created to conform even better to different surfaces, especially contours and curves. 2 x stronger for tear-free clean removal for up to 28 days, the tape is made using longer washi fibres, which provide increased strength in a thinner format than the crepe paper that is used in many other masking tapes.
Jason Burns, MD at Shurtape, says: “Masking tapes that shred upon removal, or don’t adhere and conform well to contours and corners, are the main complaints from professional decorators. That’s why we created this product. As customers look to embrace and even re-install original features or more design-led structures, tape that can work with shapes and textures is vital.
“We now have an extensive range of tapes created for different textures as well as indoor and outdoor applications. FrogTape Advanced joins our Original Multi-Surface and Delicate Tapes in the FrogTape Signature Series, created to ensure users have the confidence to tackle any indoor painting project, bringing inspired ideas to life with the right tape for the surfaces, textures and shapes involved.
Shurtapewill also be showing off its multipacks and new packaging at the show. By replacing the existing plastic canister with FSC certified paper board, the company will be eliminating over 500,00kg of plastic annually.
“As one of the world’s leading professional decorators’ tapes, we help decorators deliver the best possible results for their customers and we’ll be using the event to show why,” Jason concludes. “We’re really looking forward to it, as we do every year.”
