Painter & decorator launches PaintPilot
Peterborough painter and decorator James Noll of Expressions Group has launched PaintPilot, a new job management platform created specifically for the painting and decorating trade.
Available across iOS, Android and desktop, PaintPilot has spent the past year being developed, refined and tested in the real world across 120 live domestic and commercial painting and decorating projects.
Rather than starting with generic business software and adapting it for decorators, PaintPilot started with what actually happens on a job: quoting work, scheduling jobs, managing teams, recording hours, completing site paperwork, keeping track of progress and getting the final invoice out.
James Noll, Founder of PaintPilot, said: “Decorators can be brutal with software. If something makes the job more complicated instead of easier, we simply won’t use it.

Features include job scheduling, quoting and invoicing, team and hour tracking, site forms and job management tools designed to work from a phone while on site as well as from a desktop.
For contractors working on commercial projects, PaintPilot also provides tools for managing essential site documentation, including RAMS and COSHH information.
PaintPilot also integrates with Xero and QuickBooks, allowing decorators to connect their job management and accounting workflows rather than relying on separate, disconnected systems.
