Darts Wizard’s Leyland Trade Match
World famous darts player Simon Whitlock invited hundreds of Leyland Trade staff to step up to the oche to take him on as the colourful paint brand continues its eye-catching sponsorship of ‘The Wizard’.
Leyland Trade employees eagerly waited to meet Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock at the paint manufacturer’s Yorkshire headquarters, where he delivered a high quality masterclass to those brave enough to take him on.
The special nine dart challenge, which saw Leyland Trade staff attempt to beat the world champion’s score with nine darts to his six, proved a huge hit with staff, with twenty employees able to hold their nerve, keep calm and beat ‘The Wizard’ at his own game.
Leyland Trade marketing manager Vicky Jones said: “We’re delighted to be able to continue our sponsorship of Simon and are looking forward to an exciting few months following his progress and cheering him on – we’ll be with him every step of the way. Looking at the results of the challenge it seems we’ve got some budding Premier League stars here at Leyland too – so watch this space!
Leyland Trade is proud to sponsor both Simon Whitlock and fellow world-class darts champion, Mark ‘The Spider’ Webster and, to mark the continued sponsorship, during the event, Whitlock presented a signed shirt to Leyland Trade Paints.
Simon and Mark will be making a number of personal appearances for Leyland Trade over the next year, while incentives throughout the year means customers will get the chance to see the pair play in person at upcoming televised tournaments.
