The Ladder Association – the not-for-profit lead industry body dedicated to promoting the safe use of ladders and stepladders – will this year be exhibiting at the National Painting & Decorating Show 2019 (Stand 66)
With falls from height remaining one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities and injuries – accounting for 40 fatalities in 2018/2019* – and as businesses face record fines for failing to keep workers safe, the Ladder Association continues to raise awareness of the need for ladder training through their ‘Get a Grip’ on ladder safety campaign. The campaign message is clear ‘When it’s right to use a ladder, use the right ladder and get trained to use it safely.’
The Association strongly believes training is an important contribution in keeping people safe when working at height and that training is about more than just using the ladder; it’s about helping people understand when it’s right to use a ladder, (and when it’s not), choosing the right ladder and then understanding the simple steps to use your ladder safely.
The Ladder Association will be joined at the National Painting & Decorating Show 2019 by two of their members; Lyte Ladders & Towers (stand 43) and WernerCo (stand 53).
