Crown Trade Clean Extreme at University
Crown Trade Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt Emulsion has made the grade with a high impact application involving more than 20 shades at the University of Salford.
The highly durable product has been used across the University’s classrooms, lecture theatres, communal areas and student accommodation, as well as in kitchens and bathrooms.
Key to the product being chosen was its durable finish, and the fact the matt finish does not give off any kind of glare on the walls – an important consideration in an environment where laptops and computers are in regular use.
In tests Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt has achieved a Class 1 ‘scrub’ rating when tested according to ISO 11998. Less than 5 microns of film thickness were lost after painted panels were subjected to 200 cycles on a scrub test machine, which represents a 400 per cent increase in resistance to wet scrubbing compared to conventional vinyl matt.
As well as Crown Trade Clean Extreme, Crown Trade Stronghold Smooth Masonry Paint has also been applied throughout the University’s exterior walls in red and grey, providing an inspiring and durable finish.
Crown Trade Grip Extreme – a rapid drying, adhesion promoting primer – has also been used to prime railings and glass panels, followed by the application of Crown Trade Full Gloss in a bold red shade.
