Dulux Trade Coatings Impress
A range of Dulux Trade coatings has been used in the decoration of the Shenley Wood Village, a new development of apartments offering health and leisure facilities for people aged 55 and over.
A number of products, including Dulux Trade Diamond Matt, Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt, Dulux Trade Ecosure Gloss and Dulux Trade Metalshield, have been applied throughout the retirement village, in order to deliver a high-quality finish that will stay looking great between maintenance cycles. The development’s operator, the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, has been so impressed with the results that the project’s paint specifications have been adopted for all of its future projects.
The first 184 apartments opened to residents in spring this year, with the remaining 116 apartments due for completion in winter 2012. Kevin Hudson, Head of Development at the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, explains the project’s decorative requirements: “Over 350 residents and numerous staff will eventually live, work and socialise in the building.
“The finished results look fantastic, and the support that Dulux Trade provided us with – in particular, the product advice from Specification Account Manager, Darron Ashfield – means that we have the reassurance that the coatings will stay in great condition until the next redecorating cycle, even in the busy areas of the village. What’s more, the work was completed by APC Decorators, who have worked extensively with Dulux Trade coatings in the past. APC’s expert knowledge of the products they were working with ensured the project was delivered to the highest possible standard.
