Johnstone’s Painter of the Year 2021 Finalists Announced

The Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Awards take place next month returning to an in-person event for the first time in two years. The awards are now in their 38th year bring together painters and decorators from across the country to celebrate some of the very best work the industry has to offer. 

From impressive new residential projects to renovations of fascinating historical buildings, the shortlist consists of 27 entries across eight categories: commercial, education, EWI, healthcare, historical, hospitality and leisure, render and residential.

The awards ceremony will be hosted at The Carden Park Hotel, Cheshire, on 28 May 2022, where the finalists’ work will be showcased and winners will be chosen by attendees.

Rachel Copley, PPG Head of Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing back the Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Awards for another year, and we’re particularly excited to be returning to an in-person event. The awards are an excellent way to showcase the incredible work painters and decorators do across the UK, and really take the time to recognise, celebrate and reward outstanding craftmanship.

“We’ve come through a difficult few years and it’s amazing to see the tenacity and perseverance shown by the industry. The entries we received were of a fantastic standard and really show how painters and decorators have continued to deliver beautiful buildings and structures across the country. It’s certainly not been easy choosing the shortlist! We congratulate all of the finalists and can’t wait to see everyone at the awards.”
