Leyland SDM open in Acton
Leyland SDM cuts the ribbon on its new Acton, London store, its 25th, on the 15th of this month.
Jonathan Jennings, Chief Executive of Leyland SDM, said: “We’re delighted to be opening this new store in Acton, which will be great news for both trade professionals and people carrying out DIY jobs in their homes.
“The coronavirus pandemic has been a huge challenge for the whole country. However, in line with Government guidance, we have been able to keep our stores open to serve people carrying out essential maintenance and improvement work.
“This means we have been able to continue with our programme of store openings, with a further four new stores in addition to Acton planned across London between now and the middle of May.”
The Leyland SDM stores stock a comprehensive range of more than 22,000 products across all departments, including paint and decorating essentials, building materials, electrical fittings, tools, plumbing equipment and ironmongery.
Some of the biggest and best-known DIY brands are available at Leyland SDM, including Dulux Trade, Leyland Trade, Stanley, Ronseal and DEWALT.

Leyland SDM employs more than 350 people across London and is currently recruiting new colleagues to work in its new stores.
Jonathan added: “It’s a difficult landscape for people looking for work at the moment so we’re pleased to be offering new in-store opportunities at various levels.
“There are no specific qualifications needed for our roles but we do look for individuals with strong customer service skills, a desire to learn about our products and show a willingness to work hard!”
