Novus Property Solutions Helps Foxfield Community House
Novus Property Solutions has played a leading role in refurbishing a community space to create a central hub for the residents of a Plymouth housing association.
The national property maintenance company, which has offices across the south west, worked closely with DCH to refresh Foxfield Community House. It now provides residents with a central place to meet new people, get involved in groups and activities and access support.
The team from Novus’ Plymouth office worked over the course of two weeks to redecorate the main communal lounge and outer areas as well as installing work benches for the new IT equipment. All the paint and equipment used including the new work benches were donated to the project by Novus as part of its ongoing commitment to corporate and social responsibility.
Jackie Blight, DCH community development worker, said: “We are so pleased to be able to hand the community house back for the use of everyone in the community. I’d like to give a big thank you to Novus for their involvement and enthusiasm throughout the project. We have had lots of ideas from the community for the use of the space and are excited about putting them in place.”
Mark Noad, strategic operations manager for Novus, added: “Making a positive difference to the communities in which we work is something which is incredibly important to us as a responsible business. We’ve worked hard to put partnership community work at the very heart of our business and were pleased to work with DCH on this project to deliver a community house at Foxfield. Our driving force remains being able to give something back to the communities we come into contact with and minimise the impact our activities have on wider communities.”
