New President of Painting and Decorating Association
Training and development are the key priorities for a Shropshire-based businessman Windsor Powell, in his appointment as national president of The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA). Mr Powell will hold the the position for a 12 month term.
Windsor is the current chairman of the Painting and Decorating Association’s national training committee and represents the PDA on ‘Get Britain Building’ .He is also the PDA’s representative on the Cross Industry Apprenticeships Task Force.
During his term as Painting and Decorating Association national president, Windsor has identified two key objectives to focus on: the development of a skills blueprint for decorating apprentices, and a bespoke training programme for PDA members to help them to develop their business.
Windsor is the director of Telford-based building and maintenance company Windsor Powell, which offers services including painting and decorating, conversions and extensions. He takes over the role of PDA national president from Tom Nelson of Northern Ireland.
