Quotes just got faster
The Invisible Painter, an established painting and decorating business based in Clapham, London has come up with an innovative and time efficient way of dealing with quotes – and they say they’ve seen business boom as a result.
The company has just completed a trial offering potential customers the opportunity to receive estimates via live video (through Skype or FaceTime). The way this works can be seen here: theinvisiblepainter.co.uk/contact/
Andrew Bassett from the company, told P&D News “The results of this trail were closely monitored and we were really excited about the outcome. There was a 19% decrease in van journeys across London due to the ability for us to filter out jobs which perhaps weren’t right for us much quicker and at a really early stage.
“Another important point was that previously we’d occasionally have no vans available for an immediate site visit, which put us out of the running right away for some jobs which required an especially speedy response. With the video quote system, though, we can do a preliminary estimate without the need for a site visit, which is a massive advantage.
“The big news is that the time taken to produce relatively accurate quotes, which are subject to some alteration pending a real site visit, decreased by a massive 82%. The average time to complete a quote before using the online system video was 76 minutes (including travel); the average time using the video link system was just 6 minutes”.
Andrew concludes: “We’ve improved our lead conversion rate and we are winning more business from clients desperate for a quick quote and agreement; video is the future of initial estimates.”
