Wallcoverings Sales Up

Despite the gloomy economic news, the UK wallcoverings industry made a good start to 2013 with first-quarter sales in the tough UK market up 6% on a year ago, according to the latest statistics from the British Coatings Federation (BCF) Wallcoverings Sector Council, which represents all the main manufacturers. This increase comes on top of an 11% improvement in the final-half of 2012 and means sales rollage for the last 12 months as a whole is up 4% on a year ago.

With the growth in easy to hang ’paste the wall’ products increasing rapidly it seems customers are rediscovering the uniqueness of wallpaper and the individuality this form of decorating now offers”.
