Free PDA Training – Five Day Course
An intensive training course tailored to painting and decorating businesses will take place over five days in spring. The free Business Management Appreciation Programme (BMAP) is funded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and has been specially developed by the Painting and Decorating Association and the Construction Library.
The free PDA training course will be in two sections, with a seven-module e-learning package available for members on the PDA website followed by a 10-module training course to be held at a hotel near Derby.
A £125,200 grant from CITB has funded a partnership between the PDA and Construction Library to research and create the BMAP training course, which is aimed at managers of larger firms and proprietors of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
PDA Chief Executive, Neil Ogilvie, said: “In tough economic conditions training budgets become tighter and tighter.
“We have worked with CITB and the Construction Library to provide a valuable, intensive training course for members which will boost staff morale, improve productivity and give PDA members a competitive advantage in difficult times.
“BMAP is fully funded, offering our members a chance to really get ahead of the competition with an investment of time rather than money.”
The free PDA training course has been co-ordinated and reviewed by the PDA while Construction Library produced the content for the BMAP modules.
The five-day intensive training, which is exclusive to PDA members, will be held at Best Western Yew Lodge Hotel at Kegworth near Derby on March 19, 20, 21, 24 and 25. The course, hotel accommodation and meals are all free.
A deposit of £250 must be paid when booking a place and will be refunded on completion of the course.
